(July 14/2017) The leaders and employees of the Ministry of Education and relevant institutions conducted a green footprint program in Sheger city, Oromia National Regional State.
The Minister of Education Prof. Berhanu Nega, who participated in the green footprint program organized under the theme “Planting and Working”, said that we will leave our green footprint in Arengode for the sake of generations without distinction.
In a related message, the Minister emphasized that all citizens should contribute to issues that benefit the country and generations without distinction.
The Minister stated that the tree planting at Ifa Boru Secondary School is related to work and profession and is intended to be a source of inspiration for students. He said that every citizen should always leave a green footprint, whether in their professional or social relationships.
The Minister of State for General Education Development, Ms. Ayelech Eshete, for her part, stated that the green footprint development that our country is implementing is a place where other countries can learn from its experience. She explained to journalists that the development is not only beneficial for maintaining the natural balance but also for ensuring food security.
The Minister of State added that leaving a green footprint should be a constant task as it takes Ethiopia forward and is a major task to ensure prosperity.
The Minister of State for Higher Education Development, Ato Kora Tushne, for his part, explained that the green footprint program is an important issue to hand over a suitable and suitable country to the next generation.
The program was designed to create awareness about the importance of the Arengod footprint as the foundation of everything and as a key factor in the country’s prosperity and progress.
The program was attended by leaders and staff from the Ministry of Education, the Ethiopian Education Authority, and the National Educational Assessment and Testing Service.
