The Dire Dawa City Administration Schools Sports League competition is underway in Dire Dawa City, attended by senior government officials, educational communities and parents.

The Head of Dire Dawa City Schools Office, His Excellency Sultan Aliyu, and the Commissioner of the Youth and Sports Commission, His Excellency Khalid Mohammed, inaugurated the competition and delivered a message to the competitors and the sports audience.
46 primary and secondary schools are competing in eight sports categories in the competition, and various performances and musical performances were presented to the sports audience before the competition.
The competition will be held on weekends, without affecting school hours, and will conclude on April 12, 2017, said Ato Akademi Kebede, a senior specialist in sports education and training at the city administration.
