On June 14/2016 (Ministry of Education), the Council of Ministers discussed and passed a decision on the General Education Proclamation at its 36th regular meeting.The decree was discussed in terms of the need to enact a law to ensure the quality, accessibility and fairness of education, which creates an enabling environment for the equitable delivery of primary and secondary education to all citizens and all areas of the country.
In addition to this, the decree is a legal framework that includes provisions on the relevance of education, curriculum, organization of educational institutions and professional and administrative issues regarding teachers, as well as the setting of standards of educational institutions and the control of educational institutions outside the government. After discussing the proposed decree, the council unanimously decided to forward it to the House of People’s Representatives by adding resources.
