The 9th National Students’ and Teachers’ Creative Works Competition and Exhibition hosted by Addis Ababa University of Science and Technology has started.
Dr. Mulukun Ngatu, executive director of teacher and education leadership development at the Ministry of Education, while opening the competition and workshop for creative works, stated that the competition and the workshop will help to enable students and teachers to be ready for better creative works by encouraging and stimulating them.
Dr. Mulukun added that teachers and students should use the platform more for mutual exchange of experiences. He also pointed out that creative works should be focused on solving current problems and building capacity while considering the problems of our future country.
National Director of STEAM Power, Dr. Semenew keskes, on his part, mentioned that the work of supporting creative activities from schools to universities should be strengthened by supporting and teaching science lessons.
Dr. Semenew added that the main reason why the countries we see as prosperous at the moment are able to reach this level is because they have paid a lot of attention to science and technology. He said that it is being given and it is being worked on.
It was also pointed out that the business creation competition and the forum will continue for the next three consecutive days.
