(January 15/2017) In the ongoing 2017 Schools Sports League, schools located in 6 districts of Tigray Region in the North Region have started organizing cluster-level athletics, football and volleyball competitions.

In the South West Region and Jimma Zone, the sports competitions being held in 21 districts at the cluster level in various sports have created a great excitement among the education community.

Dessie City Administration, located in the North Central Region, is also organizing the schools sports competition with a football competition between secondary schools.

Similarly, in the Western Region, Kelem Wollega, a competition in various sports is being held among 559 primary and secondary schools in 11 districts and 1 city administration.

The School Sports League will continue to be strengthened in schools in all parts of the country at the cluster and district levels during the first semester break, it was learned from the released program.
