(October 10/2018) The Minister of Education received and spoke with UNFPA Representative in Ethiopia, Mr. Sk Kouame, at his office.
At the same time, Mr. Sk Kouame, UNFPA Representative in Ethiopia, explained to the Honorable Minister that UNFPA is working on women’s education, especially providing hygiene products to women, and that it will continue to do so in the future.
UNFPA also expressed its desire to work more closely with the Ministry of Education and others to improve the educational conditions of women.
Minister of Education, Professor Berhanu, for his part, said that UNFPA should continue to provide limited support to female students.
He added that in the future, they should move away from such limited support and produce feminine hygiene products on their own, thereby benefiting Ethiopia and Africa.
