(March 23/2017) The Minister of Education received the Ambassador of Colombia to Ethiopia, Yeson Arcadio Menes Copte, at his office for discussions.
During their discussion, the two countries discussed issues on which they can cooperate in the education sector.
At the same time, the Minister of Education expressed his happiness to receive the first Colombian Ambassador to Ethiopia at his office and raised with the Ambassador issues that could lead to cooperation in the education sector.
He explained that there is a possibility of cooperation in the higher education sector, especially in the field of free education for students, music and cultural exchange, and other issues.
Colombian Ambassador to Ethiopia, Yeson Arcadio Menes Copte, for his part, stated that Colombia opened its embassy in Addis Ababa to strengthen its bilateral relations with Ethiopia and that it also wants to cooperate with Ethiopia in the education sector.
He added that they want to cooperate in the field of free education and professional exchange in the higher education sector, peacebuilding in higher education, and exchange of experiences in music and culture.
The two sides also confirmed that they will continue to strengthen mutual cooperation in the education sector in their future relations.
