(March 05/2017) Minister of Education Professor Berhanu Nega met with US Ambassador to Ethiopia Ervin Masinga to discuss areas of cooperation in the education sector.

At the same time, the Minister of Education briefed the Ambassador on the ongoing reform efforts that are being prioritized to improve the Ethiopian education system.

US Ambassador to Ethiopia Ervin Masinga, for his part, said that he recognizes the reforms and visions being taken to transform the education system in Ethiopia and that he will continue to work to support the education sector.

During their discussions, the two sides agreed that prior discussions are needed to ensure that support provided to the education sector is used for its intended purpose.
