(May 15/2017) The State Minister for Higher Education Development of the Ministry of Education, Honorable Ato Kora Tushune, in his message at the conclusion of the conference, said that African problems should be solved by Africans by strengthening cooperation among African countries.
The Honorable State Minister also stated that Africans are expected to work together and coordinate to solve their problems.
In addition to using the budget allocated by the government, higher education institutions should achieve their mission by designing various projects and using the Erasmus program and similar projects to work for the development and prosperity of the country, Honorable Ato Kora added.
In Brussels, Claire Hermann, Director General of the European Commission for Education, Training, Culture and Science, said that the Erasmus project is very useful for Africans and that Africans should use the program by promoting and expanding it properly.
Dr. Eba Mijena, Executive Director for Academic Affairs at the Ministry of Education, said that the three-day conference was very useful and that a lot of lessons were learned, and that it should be used properly to achieve country-specific reform efforts and that it is important to work closely together as an African.
Delegates from 46 countries, including 32 sub-Saharan African countries, participated in this year’s Erasmus 2025 conference held in Ethiopia.
