Ms. Aseged Meresa, Head of the Teacher and School Leader Development Desk, who attended the training launch program, stated that one of the measures being taken by the Ministry of Education in the education sector is to improve the competence of teachers, and she pointed out that building the capacity of teachers and education administrators is a major focus area to maintain the quality of education and improve student outcomes.
In this regard, the current training of teachers and education leaders is different from the traditional training system that existed before, and the education leadership and teacher are integrated into the overall personality; He explained that many efforts are being made to ensure that it is built on knowledge and skills.
He said that in this way, on-the-job practical training will be prepared and provided throughout the country, where teachers can enhance their capabilities alongside teaching.
He said that 70% of this training, which will be provided by the end of the current year, will be on-the-job practical training, 20% will gain experience from others, and the remaining 10% will receive face-to-face training.
