(May 07/2017) Vice Presidents of Administration and Infrastructure of 47 universities held a discussion on key performance indicators.
Solomon Abraha (PhD), the Chief Executive Officer of the Higher Education Sector Administration and Infrastructure, stated during the discussion that efforts are being made to create competitive and competent institutions by improving the institutional and administrative capacity of universities.
He explained that improving the governance system of higher education institutions will not only ensure transparency and accountability, but also accelerate the transition of universities to autonomy by improving quality and relevance.
Dr. Solomon said that improving the capacity of universities will also enable higher education institutions to achieve the desired results in the sector by increasing the capacity and efficiency of research and development.
The Chief Executive Officer also pointed out that higher education institutions are being developed to provide quality and efficient services in addition to creating quality academic programs and competent research capabilities.
Head of the Administrative Affairs Desk, Ato Abdo Nasir, said that higher education institutions are expected to improve the quality of services provided and make them effective by working together at all levels.

Presidents, Vice Presidents of Administration and Infrastructure, Heads of the President’s Office and relevant officials from 47 higher education institutions attended the discussion.
