(February 12/2017) The workshop was organized with the aim of gathering the necessary feedback from sectoral institutions, stakeholders and partner organizations and developing the documents to be implemented on the ground.
In his keynote address at the opening of the workshop, Dr. Eba Mijena, the Chief Executive Officer of Academic Affairs at the Ministry of Education, emphasized that the implementation documents prepared are of great importance for maintaining the quality of academic programs and curricula within the mandate and focus of the institutions, and stakeholders should play their roles appropriately.
Dr. Abdullahi Salif, Specialist in Higher Education, Artificial Intelligence and ICT at the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, said that higher education institutions should work hard to improve the quality of their academic programs and curricula and ensure their international acceptance and recognition, and that his institution would support the achievement of this goal.
The implementation documents were submitted to the Chief Executive Officer of Academic Affairs at the Ministry of Education and experts, and feedback was sought from experts and officials from sectorial agencies, public and private higher education institutions, professional associations and other relevant bodies.
