(February 26/2017) The Ministry of Education is conducting a review and document preparation of 91 key performance indicators and service satisfaction data collected from all universities.
The document to be prepared based on the review will identify the strengths and gaps in the performance of key functions and service delivery of higher education institutions and provide input for future implementation, said Ato Tesfaye Negawo, Head of the Higher Education Curriculum and Programs Desk at the Ministry of Education.
The review and document preparation, which is being conducted based on the data collected from all universities, will not only indicate the level of performance of the institutions in key functions and service delivery, but also indicate how they should fulfill their responsibilities with accountability.
In his presentation at the launch of the program, Dr. Abule Takele, Head of the Research Ethics Desk at the Ministry of Education, noted that the analysis and documentation based on the collected data will help to refine key performance indicators and improve the quality and standard of service delivery.
The program states that the Ministry of Education is implementing a number of reform activities that support the implementation of the Key Performance Indicators Agreement signed with higher education institutions.
