The Minister of Education, Honorable Professor Birhanu Nega, visited the teachers who are being trained in the summer program at Haromia University.

During his visit, the Honorable Minister stated that the teaching profession is respected and is the foundation of a country’s development, so it is necessary to build the capacity of teachers and improve their lives.

He pointed out that a short-term and long-term plan is being made to implement this.  He added that the bank that will be opened by the teachers will play a major role in changing their careers and lives.  Trainee teachers also expressed that they were happy to be visited by the Honorable Minister and said that the training has given them great potential for their careers.  The teachers also stated that they gained new knowledge through the training and learned how to teach using technology and that it inspired them to become teachers who keep up with the times.
