On November 10, 2018, the Ministry of Education (MoE) provided training to experts to implement an automated service delivery system supported by the Internet.

The Executive Director of Academic Affairs, Dr. Eba Mijena (Dr.), stated that work is being done to provide fast and efficient services to users by establishing a modern operating system supported by technology.

Dr. Eba said that the main objective is to digitize these services as it reduces time, effort, money and other costs by modernizing the system with technology and provides access to quality services at the same time where users are.

The Chief Executive Officer noted that the ministry’s reform direction is to provide fast and quality services by modernizing the service delivery system and explained that it is working diligently in this regard.

Head of the Teachers and Students Development Desk, Ato Beyene Tezera, said that the digital service delivery platforms that are currently providing services and those that are newly entering service are rich in the internal capacity of the office.

The Chief Executive Officer also pointed out that these self-sufficient digital service delivery platforms will enable them to provide fast and quality services to users.

It was also stated at the forum that all services provided by the Chief Executive Officer for Academic Affairs in Higher Education can be accessed online from anywhere.

Officers and experts under the Chief Executive Officer for Academic Affairs participated in the capacity building training organized around the application of technology.
