The Ministry of Education is focusing on secondary schools to make education ICT-enabled and provide quality education to all; one of these projects is the development of cloud infrastructure in 300 schools.
It is believed that ICT technicians working in schools with these infrastructures should be empowered to support the learning and teaching process. Therefore, it is important to ensure that the servers, computers and other ICT equipment in the schools are properly serviced, so appropriate training is being provided to the technicians working on site. The training was given by Schoolnet and ICT professionals from October 17 to 21 in Awassa city, and the training is being given to the remaining trainees from November 1 to November 13, 2018 at Dembel View Hotel in Adama city.
This training was given to the professionals to understand how to work when they return to their jobs.
