A delegation led by the Minister of Education participated in the 43rd General Assembly of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) held in Samarkand, Republic of Uzbekistan.
Speaking at the 43rd General Assembly of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the Honorable Minister explained the activities that Ethiopia has carried out in UNESCO’s fields over the past two years.
In this regard, he explained to the assembly the work that Ethiopia is doing in the fields of education, culture, climate change and biodiversity.
He also called on the United Nations (UN) to continue strengthening the strategies designed to achieve the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
It was also noted that this biennial UNESCO General Assembly focuses on the fields of education, science, culture, communication and information, and is a platform that creates a favorable environment to support member states.
On the sidelines of the conference, the Honorable Minister held discussions with ministers from various countries to strengthen bilateral relations.
