Senior leaders of the Ministry of Education and relevant institutions held discussions with the heads of the Good Governance Issues and Grievance Redressal Division of the Prime Minister’s Office.

(October 12/2018) The discussion focused on the problems of good governance and grievance redressal systems arising in the education sector, and the detailed organizational and operational systems were presented and discussed by the officials of the Ministry of Education and relevant institutions.
Sharing her thoughts on the discussion, the State Minister of General Education Development, Ms. Ayelech Eshete, stated that by implementing various organizational and operational systems to resolve the questions and complaints of good governance at all levels, we have been able to save our customers from inconvenience, additional time and money.
In order to strengthen and ensure participation, the Honorable Ms. Ayelech added that joint planning, monitoring, evaluation and feedback activities are being carried out with the stakeholders in the sector.
The Honorable Ato Kora Tushne, State Minister for Higher Education Development, explained the work being done to improve the good governance issues and grievance redressal systems that are being observed and raised in higher education institutions.
He also added that work is being done to identify and prevent good governance issues and grievances that arise in the student admission, examination administration, and teaching and learning processes.
The Chief Executive Officer of Good Governance Issues and Grievance Redressal at the Office of the Prime Minister, Fikru Worku, for his part, stated that the organizational and operational systems being implemented to prevent and resolve good governance issues and grievances that are observed and raised in the education sector are encouraging.
The official also noted that the good governance and grievance redressal systems and practices developed by the Ministry of Education and relevant institutions can be shared with other institutions for their experience and expertise.
