(October 09/2018) During an online discussion with officials of the Regional and Urban Administration Education Bureau, State Minister for General Education Development, Ms. Eshete, said that remedial education should be conducted with planning and focus, especially for students from grade 9 onwards, especially for grade 12 students.
Ms. Eshete emphasized that teachers, school administrators, parents, and stakeholders in the sector should pay attention to students’ time and work properly so that students can achieve better results.
Regional Education Bureau officials, on their part, said that remedial education should continue to be strengthened as it is of great importance for improving students’ results.
The Executive Director of the Quality and Improvement of Educational Programs, Yohannes Wegaso (PhD), presented a basic strategic plan for remedial education and said that planning, monitoring and support activities should be strengthened to achieve the set goal.
The online discussion was attended by the heads of the Regional Education Bureau, the Director General of the Educational Assessment and Testing Service, Eshetu Kebede (PhD), and other officials.
