The Ethiopian Civil Service University held a discussion on the launch of a new organizational reform of the university under the theme “On the eve of a new phase”.

(September 06/2018) The Minister of Education, Professor Berhanu Nega, who attended the forum, stated that the Ethiopian Civil Service University should focus only on relevant fields of study in terms of its mission so that it can produce qualified and ethical public servants who can meet the current and future needs of the society.
He pointed out that the university should reorganize itself in a way that can produce an institution and civil servants that can carry out the national reform work being implemented by the Civil Service Commission.
Professor Berhanu added that the university should adopt an organization and system that can produce government service leaders and professionals that will enable Ethiopia to reach the level of development and civilization it desires.
Federal Civil Service Commission Commissioner Dr. Mekuria Haile stated that the university is being provided with a lot of support and supervision to make the civil service reform effective, and that it should work hard to ensure that it has a comprehensive capacity to modernize government service and administration.
Ethiopian Civil Service University President Dr. Nigus Tadesse, for his part, indicated that many preparatory works are being carried out in accordance with the government’s decision to organize the university in a way that will empower leaders and professionals of government service institutions.
A study conducted by scholars was presented and discussed at the forum, and the questions and comments submitted by the participants were answered and explained by the leaders.
