(July 24/2017) The leaders and employees of the Ministry of Education held a discussion on the implementation of the 2017 plan and the 2018 development plan of the ministry and the country, as well as the implementation of the reform works being carried out by the institution.
During the discussion, Minister of Education, Prof. Berhanu Nega, emphasized that in order for education to contribute to the development of the country, the employees of the Ministry of Education should be well-mannered, modern, and exemplary workers who can effectively fulfill the mission of the institution.
He noted that a conducive working environment is essential for employees to carry out their expected missions honestly and efficiently, and that many works are being done to achieve this.
During the discussion forum, the State Minister for Higher Education Development at the Ministry of Education, Ato Kora Tushune, presented the country’s 2018 development plan, and emphasized that the employees of the Ministry of Education should fulfill their responsibilities for the effectiveness of promising changes and important works that have been started to ensure the benefit of the country and the people.
The State Minister for General Education Development, Ms. Ayelech Eshete, for her part, emphasized that the works that recorded good results in 2017 should be maintained and continued, and the works that recorded low results should be given special attention in the next fiscal year.
The employees of the ministry also raised various questions and comments regarding the documents presented, and their responses were received from the senior management.
