The leaders who will lead each sectoral forum for the next two years have also been elected.
(November 27/2017) In his speech at the establishment of the forums, the Honorable Ato Kora Tushune, State Minister for Higher Education Development, Ministry of Education, called on the sectoral actors to play their roles as education and training institutions and industrial networking play a key role in developing a competitive citizen and country.
The State Minister added that the networking will create better capacity by jointly generating and utilizing resources, and he indicated that higher education, research and training institutions and industry are expected to work together.
Dr. Atoday Handiso, Executive Director of the Higher Education, Research and Community Engagement Affairs Department, stated that the networking forums established in the sector aim to enable higher education, technical and vocational training, research institutions, and the industry to fulfill their responsibilities by coordinating and cooperating. Finally, Ato Teshome Daniel, Head of the Institutional Networking and Technology Transfer Desk, stated that the establishment of the forums will enable higher education, technical and vocational training institutions, research institutions, and the industry to gain experience and expertise, and that it will enable industries to use research resources and technologies generated in the same way and is based on mutual benefit.
