(July 10/2017) Some of the special boarding secondary schools that the Ministry of Education is building in the new academic year will start operating in the upcoming academic year, said the Minister of Education, Professor Berhanu Nega.
In a statement to journalists, the Minister stated that the construction of federal special boarding schools is being focused on producing citizens who are skilled in science and technology and who can become the leaders of this country tomorrow.
He pointed out that the Federal Special Boarding Secondary Schools are places where students from all walks of life can learn, live together and grow, and where we can produce the future leaders of the country.
In this regard, he explained that the Ministry of Education is making great efforts to start operating some of the special boarding secondary schools that are being built in different regions of the country in the upcoming academic year.
The Minister, who pointed out that there are no less than forty boarding secondary schools built in different parts of the country in the past, cited the fact that almost all students have been able to pass the 12th grade exit exams given in the past three years.
The Ministry of Education is making preparations to recruit students who completed grade 8 in the 2017 academic year in the newly built Federal Special Boarding Secondary Schools, and it is recalled that a notice has been issued for students to meet the appropriate criteria and wait.
