During a visit to social science students taking the online exam in Addis Ababa, the Minister of Education, Ms. Ayelech Eshete, stated that the online exam gives students the opportunity to take the exam with confidence and in the manner they have prepared.
Stating that the online exam will allow students to take the exam from the comfort of their homes, the Minister of Education said that during her observations at the exam centers, she was able to observe that the exam is being conducted in a better manner and that students are taking the exam in a calm manner.
Ms. Ayelech, who added that the Natural Science exam has been completed and the Social Science exam has begun, expressed her wish that students will be able to sit for the upcoming exams with confidence and have good luck.
The Director General of the National Assessment and Examination Service, Dr. Eshetu Kebede, for his part, stated that more than 299,000 students will take the Social Science exam from today until July 8, 2017, on paper and online.
In general, more than 608,000 students have registered to take the exam nationwide for the 2017 Secondary School Leaving Examination.
