(January 19/2018) The Head of the Regional Education Bureau, Ato Getu Negwo, stated that special attention is being paid to all secondary schools in the region to further improve the results obtained in the 2017 national examination.
The Head of the Bureau, Ato Getu, said that an organization has been created in all private and public schools in the region to provide psychological preparation and remedial education to students.
According to the organization, the remedial education of grade 12 natural and social science students has been provided by more experienced teachers; in addition to the teachers, a program has been designed to select and support strong students and is being led with strict discipline.
He also pointed out that libraries have been opened from 2:30 am to 1:30 pm from Monday to Saturday in all public and private schools so that students can make the most of their study time.
He said that through this, students have developed a reading habit by understanding that results are achieved through hard work and by paying attention to their studies.
Regarding the use of laboratories, he explained that teachers are opening laboratories on the mentioned days so that students can access and use practical learning.
In addition, the head of the office added that the region is focusing on activities to ensure the quality of education from the bottom up.
