The Ministry of Education staff discussed the implementation of the 9-month plan. (April 06/2017) During the discussion, the Minister of Education, Professor Berhanu Nega, stated that efforts are being made to improve the efficiency of government schools and provide quality education to all citizens.
The Minister also noted that problems in all fields can be solved by producing engineers, technologists, technicians, bureaucrats and other professionals with quality and competence.
Professor Berhanu also mentioned that the reform efforts that have been initiated in improving the quality of schools, increasing the capacity of teachers and other areas of general and higher education will continue to be strengthened.
The Minister also indicated that the Ministry of Education is working with a plan to improve the efficiency of 700 schools that did not pass the 12th grade exit exam.
The Minister of Industry, Mr. Melaku Alebel, for his part, pointed out that investment in education is the biggest task and said that the work being done in this regard is promising.
The Minister added that the reform being carried out in education can change other institutions and said that he has seen many encouraging changes from the report.
The Minister of Industry also pointed out that efforts to return students who have been out of school due to natural and man-made problems to school should be strengthened.
The Minister of Industry also pointed out that the implementation of the 9-month plan of the Ministry of Education and the implementation of the 9-month plan of the main macroeconomic plan were presented and discussed during the program.
