The Ministry of Education has signed a memorandum of understanding with the People for People Foundation to build three special boarding high schools.
The MoU was signed by the Minister of Education, Professor Birhanu Nega, and the Chairman of the People to People Foundation, Dr. Sebastian Brandis.
In the memorandum of understanding, it was mentioned that the Ministry of People for People Foundation plans to build three of the 13 special boarding high schools.
The construction of special boarding high schools will be carried out according to the new Ethiopian schools construction design prepared at the national level, and the foundation will cover the entire construction cost and provide the necessary resources for teaching and learning.
These schools will be built in the regions of Afar, Somalia and Southwest Ethiopia, and their construction will be completed from 2025 to 2029.
In the agreement ceremony, it was stated that people to people organization has contributed a lot to education by building many schools in different regions of our country.
It is known that the Ministry of Education is planning to build special boarding high schools in different areas of our country where students who have excelled in their studies and have special talents are selected.
