Today, staff and leaders of the Ministry of Education planted seedlings at the Tulu Korma Planting Center at Ambo University.
Education Minister Getahun Mekuria (Dr. Engi), who attended the green fingerprint transplanting program in collaboration with Ambo University, said the seedlings are indigenous.
Apart from planting green seedlings, proper care should be taken to get them approved, he said.
In addition to the Ministry of Education and its affiliated institutions, students and teachers from all over the country will participate in the seedling transplanting program held today. It is also stated that the students who are taking the test will leave their green fingerprints by planting seedlings in the next few days with their teachers. A total of more than 500 million seedlings are planned to be planted at this year’s green tracing event under the theme “Let’s Dress Ethiopia”. Earlier, the education sector declared June 30 a green fingerprint day.
